Achilles: Painting and Weathering

A week-long process since I was running about completing the requirements needed to enroll in my Masters Program (orientation this Tuesday! I'm back to being a student very soon. Aaah how fast time flies(@´_`@))

Tried my hand at some weathering and shadowing. I certainly liked the results (but I sure could improve with practice).

My work space

I know the floor isn't the most ideal place to do your modding, but it's clean and I can comfortably strew my stuff around.

Piecing together finished bits and mounting for sealing tomorrow!

I was honestly surprised I had mounted this many pieces. It sure didn't feel or look like it.

My main weathering tool

I dunno if something's off with the consistency but you can see the Silver is crumblier than I expected it to be. Maybe it's because I used it a lot?

Pieces mounted and ready for sealing tomorrow! Just a simple once over of Tamiya Flat Clear. I hope it won't dull the detail too much. You can see a bit of shadowing on the arms. All the white pieces are shadowed but the camera didn't quite catch it.

Achilles' painting and weathering, done! I'm really excited to reassemble him tomorrow. I haven't seen him whole in almost a year.
